Happy happy 5th birthday to my forever babies!!
Five is a big one. Enjoy the trip down memory lane....
Daddy says this is the day we got out numbered.
Grant called them "brollers".
And I joined the mom of three boys club.
They have changed a lot.
Then again, not at all.
My kids' birthdays make me feel bipolar. Like how can I be so happy to celebrate them and so sad that they're yet another year older?!
First year party- we played at the splash pad in The Woodlands.
Hayden loved the cupcake!
Colter, did not.
We spent their actual birthday in Albuquerque visiting family.
They loved Sesame Street at this age. Hayden literally thought he was Cookie Monster. You should have seen the boy eat a cookie.
They were embarrassed when their guests sang happy birthday.
And we celebrated with cupcakes on their actual birthday.
We were still fairly new to Colorado when the boys turned 3.
They had a moose cake.
And there was lots of kissing!
Last year we had a candy party with all our friends in Highlands Ranch.
We spent their actual birthday in Rocky Mountain National Park hiking and taking in the elk rut. My idea of a perfect birthday.
Colter insisted we take a "5" picture in July at RMNP since we wouldn't still be in Colorado on their birthday. He knows how to hit me where it hurts.
Here's how we celebrated Korean style. American style. Whatever.
Brent and Grant had a 5 day weekend due to Chuseok Holiday (Korean Thanksgiving). I like to think we had 5 days to celebrate our soon to be 5 year olds! We started in Bukhansan National Park; our first time hiking in Korea. They definitely have not lost their mountain goat status- more on that next time!
Saturday was a quiet day on base. Daddy took them to the playground...
...and Mommy made homemade Sonic slushes.
Sunday we went to the zoo where Hayden posed with a T-Rex. He wanted to have a "Jurassic World" party although he refused to watch the movie. He did watch the original Jurassic Park & laughed when people got eaten.
I make my twins pose with other "twins".
And they're five!!!!! Homemade donuts & smoothies!
We went to Dragon Hill Lodge for a little photo shoot with their cute shirts from Grandma Oso.
Then we watched a movie with our friends.
The first year I made different themed cakes.
Colter really wanted his cake to be orange. He ate half of the icing off the end (Remember that 1st birthday?).
Having friends over meant we also got a family pic. We love our babies and celebrate them everyday (some days we celebrate bed time, but overall...).
Thanks for stopping by. Now pretend I made you a cute little party favor straight from Pinterest.
More adventures coming soon...
