The Happiest Place on Earth

***Warning*** Lots of pictures to come....

And how could I not?! Disneyland is the happiest place on earth. Brent was somewhat skeptical going to Disney, but I believe we have converted him. He is an official Disney lover. Just don't tell him I said that.

Day 1: We got there before the park opened so we could take advantage of the whole day. Brent had it all planned out. My dad would be so proud.

Hayden was excited to ride Space Mountain...

...but afterwards proclaimed that is was "AWFUL, I almost died!".

Colter is Pluto's biggest fan so it was only fitting to eat at his dog house.

Yum!

We even got to meet him!

Cooling off and watching a Frozen play.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It was my favorite when I was 5, and it still is.

No tears this time...."that was weally, weally AWESOME!"

G has picked the weirdest Disney character to love, Stitch.

Kinda thought the castle would be bigger.

End of day 1 and Hayden is passed out on the hotel floor.

Colter at least made it to the bed, with his new (and old) Pluto of course.

Day 2: The boys were soooo excited to learn that we were headed to Radiator Springs!

Riding Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Moooo!

Hayden probably thinks this is what heaven looks like. He managed to find 2 Lightning McQueen cars that he didn't already have at Sarge's Surplus Store. Bringing our grand total to too stinkin' many.

We met Mater....

and Lightning!!!

Stanley was there too.

Our favorite ride. There is a reason that this is the most popular ride between the two parks. They nailed this one. Mom & Dad geeked out pretty bad too after watching the movie for the past 5 years.

Mommy & Colter riding on the Little Mermaid ride (my favorite movie) & singing Under the Sea (Colter's favorite song).

Grant and Daddy riding the big roller coaster- his first. It had a loop and he loved it. His favorite ride was Indiana Jones. Think it's a coincidence that his 2 favorite rides were the 2 his little brothers couldn't ride?!

Even though we had a strict schedule to follow, we had to go back to Cars Land several times.

Cheers! Enjoying frozen lemonade and Red's apple freeze at the Cozy Cone.

Cute pic of my boys posing in front of the slowest, softest bumper cars I have ever been in. Glad they enjoyed it ;).

Back to Radiator Springs for dinner and the sunset.

At sunset, they turned on all the neon lights and played "Life Could Be a Dream" just like the movie. Here are the boys dancing to one of their favorite songs- best part of the day.

Our dinner stop.

We are dorks, but we were feeling like the best parents ;).

And best family too!

Don't really have a good pic, but wanted to mention that this ride scared Hayden much more than Space Mountain. He cried when it was over and told me he thought he was going to die. Is it wrong that we laughed? Colter wasn't a big fan either.

Don't come BAAAACK!!!

And, all done. The second Brent picked him up, he fell asleep.

He at least waited until we were on the shuttle.

And #3 bites the dust. We rode everything that we wanted to and more and the kids were exhausted! Mission accomplished.

Hollywood, the beach, 2 more national parks and a long ride home still to come...

  1. Lori posted this and I just read it (that's why you have no idea who I am!). What a fun trip report. I loved your sense of humor, but also the touching moments. Your boys are adorable!
