Horsey Races

After a week away from Daddy, we were glad that yesterday was a holiday and that we got to spend the whole day with him. We took the boys to the race track so Grant could see the "horsey races".  For those of you who know Grant well, the first (losing) ticket that Brent bought was Grant's prized possession. Good thing because once I started picking the horses, we started winning and that means you have to cash in your ticket. Alright, I shouldn't brag too much, I only won $1 total; add that to Brent's losses, and we came home minus $3!

We watched the first race outside and told Grant that we were cheering for #7. If #7 wasn't dead last, he was close, but #4 was doing really well. I walked over and told Brent, "#4 is killing it!" (I guess I picked up some Lucas slang in Oklahoma). So as we tell Grant that #7 did not win, he tells us, "Oh come on! You kidding me?!". Then he looked at Brent and said, "#4 was killing it" as he shook his head in disbelief!

Go horsey, go!
