The boys all had Christmas concerts at school and we wrapped up things here in Seoul and flew around the world to spend Christmas with our families.
First up-these 2 cuties had their concert. It was precious.
They love their teacher Mrs. Flores.
With 2 of their close friends, Christina & Adelaide.
Then it was Grant's turn. He auditioned and received a speaking part. He was "Jeffrey the athletic boy".
Also precious.
We saw Santa on base.
We traveled north of the city to Herb Island to see the lights.
Random dinosaur riding was available there too.
I guess all that dino riding was exhausting.
The boys also had class Christmas parties. I'm so thankful to be able to attend.
And it's my 4th year serving as Grant's room mom.
The last day of school before break was a red/green dress down day.
Ready for takeoff. Oklahoma here we come!
Grant was watching something that was scaring him so Colter held his hand.
Grandpa took us straight to Bueno. Noticing a trend with G's face?
And the best part of vacation for Grant- a Thunder game! My sisters & I went with our big boys.
Mr. Triple Double.
Now that Durant is gone, G has a new favorite- Grant.
He likes them too.
Jack, Grant & Bryce
I was going through some boxes of mine at my parent's. My nieces loved dressing up in my old dresses that my mom made me. I loved it too!
No trip home is complete without a Target visit or three. Thanks Target. Glad to be home.
The boys' favorite display at the lights festival.
Cousin Luke is 8 days older than the twins.
Best buddies!
The Dozen Cousins.
My siblings all had to leave to visit their other families & Brent had just come in from Seoul so we stayed a few more days with my parents. The three Kings participated in an impromptu Christmas pageant at the Christmas Eve service.
Merry Christmas!
With Grandpa & Grandma.
After church & lights, we went home and got ready for Santa. Colter got sick an hour later & almost ruined Christmas ;).
Hayden's letter left for Santa. At this point, he just had a head cold.
Wow. A phone?! And isn't that the saddest thing you've ever heard?! I can't have a pet cat!
Santa was able to find us in Oklahoma.
I'm glad this counted as a "surprise kitty". Phew.
Colter started to feel better (but not without giving it to Grant) so we went outside & enjoyed the nice weather.
Hayden & Grandma's kitty Calico.
Starting to come around just in time to turn 9. I think I'm sick now.
After donuts, we said goodbye & headed south to Grandma & Papa's.
He still wasn't 100%.
But we surprised him with an evening at The Main Event with his old buddy, Laura.
He's the sweetest.
And just when I thought we'd left the germs behind, this one bites the dust. Time to go!
We recovered in a hotel & made sure we were germ free before our cousins arrived.
His present. He still loves Thunder more, but KD is his fave.
Then look who we got to meet! Our newest cousin, Mary Rose.
The King cousins with Papa & Grandma. We don't have a catchy name yet. I think it's still too soon.
Oldest to youngest.
The twins & Mary Rose.
This was 2 years before with her big sister Jacqueline.
Enjoying a snow cone with Adam.
And Grant wanted to hold Mary Rose too. Definitely reminded me & her mama of this:
G with Jacqueline 2014.
G with Jacqueline now. We had to take one.
Our cousins had to go home. What else were we supposed to do with no playmates & 80 degrees?
Winston approved.
I love that two of Grant's best friend's from Denver moved to Houston. Grant & Connor taking it to the hoop like the old days at Blue House.
Colter, our dog lover, walking Yukon.
And after nearly 3 weeks, we had to go back to school & work.
Jetlag!!!
It's so rough! Only one more time, this summer, when we move.
Welcome home to 2017!
