Our last full day we hiked up to Sanbangsan.
Lots of cool statues...
After we climbed up to the grotto, we came down & crossed the street to see the ocean.
Black sand beaches.
After some time at the hotel & beach, we stopped to see Oedolgae Rock on our way to dinner.
It was so pretty.
Brent had to try a local specialty- abalone porridge.
G tried a tiny dried fish...
...then noodles.
He cracks me up what he'll eat & not eat.
And close by was Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. Once again, terrible picture, but it was cool how they had it lit up at night.
And our last (but not least) highlight was the Saeyeongyo Bridge.
Because of the unnatural way this walkway blocks the flow of water, the water comes crashing in every few minutes. You really had to be there to appreciate the force.
The structure definitely reminded us of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
Wish you could hear & feel the force of the water....
...pretend you can...
...we're easily amused ;).
We had a great time vacationing in our host country. Something that we don't often do!
