Our summer break was so nice that I decided to take a break from blogging too! I don't want to get too far behind, so here is Part 1- our trip home. First stop, Texas!
Our last "Korean" meal for a month.
Quick plane change in Tokyo...
...one must sample sushi when in Japan (even if it's only the airport).
And then Captain Grant took us over the Pacific.
Howdy! We made it!
There were a lot of highlights on this trip, several included eating and shopping. Daddy even treated the boys to slushies outside of happy hour.
Brent & I celebrated 11 years over a nice lunch and free babysitting.
Hayden got glasses.
And the first (of several) trips to our dear friend Target.
My slushie boys.
Uncle Ross showed us his new State Farm office. If you're in Texas, he's your man!
Grant's best friend Laura moved to Houston last summer so we went over to play.
He didn't have fun at all....
....nope. None.
Never knew that I loved chips and salsa so much until we moved away from Texas. Hello friends.
The boys having fun with their cousin Winston.
We stopped by the old pad. Sadly, Hayden and Colter did not remember it all.
Grant remembered our favorite restaurant though!
Lots of birthdays were celebrated here.
And the Disney Store was very exciting too (not so much for Dad).
I started bringing Grant to the carousel in the mall when we first moved there. The boys all had their favorites.
And I can't believe I don't have a picture of Grant on Calico from those first 100 rides. But, pre-brothers days were also pre-smart phone days.
Saying hello to more old friends. I can't believe how much they've grown- plus those two new additions!
Connor- our beloved fence jumping neighbor from Colorado moved to The Woodlands too. The boys had the best sleepover!
Daddy & I are trying to teach these 2 to swim.
Included on Grant's summer "must do" list was tie dye! If you can't tell in this picture, Hayden's looks like leopard spots. Go figure.
Brent's list included a stop at Rudy's for some BBQ.
Next stop, top of my list.....Colorado (after family of course ;)).
Not going to lie, it was hard being back. It's like it was mine, but it's not anymore. Good thing I love Brent lots.
And this slice of heaven was our view for the next adventure...
Coming Up: Summer Break Part 2
(hopefully not in another 3 months)
