We had a busy past month. I know we all think we're busy, but May ranks right up there with December to me. Here's a look at our Korean May...
Our company left the day before & we switched from celebrating my birthday to Mothers Day. It was a nice day filled with brunch, me not cooking, presents and Daddy doing bath time & stories. Not sure why G is crying here. No chance we can all be happy at the same time!
Hayden did lots of modeling.
And we all got our teeth cleaned- our first experience with a Korean dentist. It wasn't too different than those American ones.
Grant represented the USA at his school's international bazaar by carrying the flag in the parade of countries.
I supported America too with this yummy pulled pork sandwich.
One handed!
That evening, we met up with an old friend of mine from The Woodlands & had a great time visiting. They currently live in Ulsan, a city in the southeast part of Korea.
Heading out for the day.
Always the entertainer.
This is entertaining too. Wow.
This is just sad.
G dressed & ready for his school spring concert.
He was adorable.
He got his cast off just in time to participate in field day. I held my breath the whole day.
These two. Best friends.
Daddy had to go to Bangkok & returned with Thai boxing shorts. I pulled up a video to show the boys what it was all about & quickly regretted it. Thanks Dad.
Brent & I had a date night. We enjoyed sushi & a nice sunset.
The model.
So, a friend gave us some clothes that her son grew out of. The box was full of great stuff. Most of it never worn. But these 2 goobers loved the package of undershirts the best. I did not tell them the "slang" term for them. Who says we never learn?
I've been spending my Mondays volunteering at a local orphanage & my dear friend has kept the twins for me. This day was my turn!
Some of my new friends (who also were opposed to posing for a good picture ;)).
I've also been "watering" the boys. And the flowers too.
All ready for church. I've always snapped pics of them when they are clean & brushed up on Sunday mornings...
...3 years ago.....
...and almost 5.
Memorial Day was Ms Buster's birthday (& not a Korean holiday) so we took up a cake to help the class celebrate.
Then we went up to Seoul Tower after school.
While we were up there, the boys watched this 3D show & I'm not sure what was more entertaining- watching the boys try to grab stuff or other adults ducking and flinching.
This wave television screen set was just cool. I watched it a few times.
Only 2 more days of school!
And we headed over to a restaurant that could give most bbq joints in the US a run for their money. Memorial Day is not all about the cookout, but this made it even better. I'm pretty sure the entire restaurant was from the base :).
We all had fun at Grant's class party. One more year of room mom under my belt. I'm going to have a tough decision next year with all 3 boys in school!
Hayden "patiently" waiting his turn at the ice cream bar.
I'm tired (and hot) just looking at this picture. How come they won't just be still?
Goodbye Ms Buster! Grant's year was great and a huge part of that is all thanks to her! We are going to miss her :(.
The last day of school!!! I nearly had a heart attack when I saw these two pictures side by side. And yes, we survived school uniforms & G happily wore his favorite uniform for the dress down day.
Celebrating the last day of school at his favorite pizza place.
The view of Itaewon from dinner.
He made us walk all the way down the street- he couldn't resist.
We finished off the celebration with face masks! I know, I know. This is pretty creepy. And I was told that I couldn't post the picture of the whole family in masks. In case you're wondering, this is Kung Fu Panda & yes, our faces were refreshed!
Summer is here & I'm still waiting for the boys to sleep in.....
