Halloween- The Complete History

Since I love my throwbacks, here's one for Halloween. Since this blog is available for your viewing pleasure (maybe you're entertained, maybe you learn something new or maybe I'm just another one of those bloggers with too much to share), I hope you enjoy these types of posts. If not, no worries, no one's forcing you to look (unless you're related to me)....these are primarily to document my memories. Oh, and the memories that come flooding back with this first sweet picture of my Bitty.....

Our first Halloween with our own little pumpkin. He's going to be 8 in less than 2 short months. I wish it was appropriate to share a few of the very grown up things he has said/done this past week. But like he tells me, it's "unappropriate".

My little 5lb. pumpkin was still in the oven in 2007 & it appears I was terrible at taking pictures before we had kids because I can't find evidence of Napoleon Dynamite & Deb and the deviled eggs from our Halloweens in Moscow (aka pre-smart phone life). We weren't near as cute as the boys anyway.

2008- Quito, Ecuador
Grant's 1st Halloween. He borrowed cousin Jack's giraffe suit.

2009- The Woodlands, TX
Of course he was a bear.

2010- The Woodlands, TX
We tried trick or treating at the zoo.

This is as dressed up as the 4 week olds got.

We thought this was funny. Grant did not.

2011- The Woodlands, TX
A few of the many sweet holiday shirts made by Grandma Oso.

My favorite year ever. The park ranger & his little bear cubs.

Hayden & Colter were rewarded for having to wear these hot costumes in Houston.

 2012- The Woodlands, TX
Brent was going to be back in Iraq for Christmas, so instead of taking the Polar Express Train, we took the Great Pumpkin one in Palestine, Texas.

Our little cardinal lover hated being called an "Angry Bird".

Colter hated the hat.

I think we look a little dysfunctional. Just calling it like I see it (and felt it).

2013- Highlands Ranch, CO
Our cousins were staying with us & we had fun shopping at St. Luke's annual pumpkin patch.

The farmer & his turkeys from one of Grant's favorite books, "Run, Turkey, Run!".

2014- Highlands Ranch, CO
Visiting a pumpkin Patch with our cousins in South Bend.

They got drastic hair cuts- cut the girl hair off, but Hayden is still wearing girl clothes ;).

I was quite proud of our Colorado nature pumpkins.

 2015- Seoul, South Korea
They had so much fun, but their jack-o-lantern essentially melted into a pile of goo within 48 hours!

Huey, Dewey & Louie....my supposed last year of the themes (hey, I gave them a break last year!).

And Donald & Daisy even joined in on the fun.
I couldn't find a Scrooge mask for Brent.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving. I even went ahead and purchased my Butterball turkey from the commissary. Although, I have a bad feeling that there will be no live trees for Christmas (a first for us).....oh wait, we moved to Korea and have to make some compromises ;).
