Think This Will Bring Us Up To Speed

One more post to catch you up on what we (mainly the boys) have been doing when we're not out being Rocky Mountain adventure junkies. We have a normal life in the 'burbs too.

My baby, my G Bird, my Little Bitty, started kindergarten. Thank goodness we moved to Colorado where they still do half day kindergarten. It was a much easier transition for him. Ok. I mean me.

These cuties went to "school" too. Btw, yes, that is a cast on Colter's foot. We thought it was broken for a couple weeks.

Colter and Hayden celebrated turning three with a special request- a moose cake. Yes, I am brainwashing them.

All 22 Howards were here. We have welcomed Reid and Thomas since I blogged last. Being around them, you wouldn't think that they're the babies of the family. They do their best to be one of the big kids.

The boys were inspired by one of their favorite books, "Run Turkey Run!" for Halloween.

Our first Christmas pageant. Grant originally requested to play the part of God, but settled on a king when he learned there was no God costume.

All the Kings were in town for Grant's 6th birthday including Grace (front and center) another welcomed addition to our family in the past 3 years.

My little Lego maniac turning 6.

We hopped the pond to see my sister and her family in Dublin. Felt a little weird for us "international" folks to be the visitors from the States. Sarah and Jimmy have done an excellent job adapting and making the most of their time abroad. Kinda feel like a proud mother, although I am the younger sister ;).

We held our annual Easter egg hunt. This has become a really fun tradition for me and the boys. Daddy even sprung for a bounce house!

Then I had to let him go to school all day.

Brothers started another year of preschool. (Thought I would help their teacher out with the shirts on the first day:)).

We had a candy party. I bet all the other moms loved me and my candy bar. And my candy games. And my candy prizes.

We meet our newest baby cousin, Jacqueline. The King family is now sitting at four boys and two girls.

This was my first year to not coordinate their costumes for Halloween. I absolutely love my crazy, leopard loving Hay Hay. His lovey is a snow leopard stuffed animal he got on his first birthday and everything is all about "weopards". One day, he'll probably be mortified that we took him to the girls department in Wal-Mart for this outfit. He still wears it to bed weekly.

Christmas pageant time again. Grant was the innkeeper and the twin sheperds had no interest in helping him hold the "no vacancy" sign. So G stood up on stage, proud as punch, staring at his mama (because that's what he does when he's in front of a crowd), and held open only part of the sign declaring that there was indeed vacancy. There were a few chuckles.

Slow down, turn back the clocks. I now have a seven year old. And all I can think about is next year I'll have an eight year old. I'm too young for this.

And most recently, we added a new member to our family, Uncle Ross. We got all fancied up for the occasion. And can I say, worlds cutest ring bearer?! Watch out ladies.

However, Uncle Ross has been in the family for a long time. Now it's just official.

I think that gets me all caught up. I'm sure we'll do some blog worthy things in the next five months before we move all the way around the world (a sixteen hour time difference !) to Seoul, South Korea!
